Brookwood Cemetery is the largest cemetery in Britain and is probably the largest in Western Europe.

Situated between Woking, Guildford and Aldershot, it is located about 30 miles southwest of London, adjacent to the village of Brookwood.

The cemetery was laid out in 1854 as the London Necropolis and has been in constant use ever since.

On this website we hope to give you an impression of the atmosphere of the cemetery and its grounds, for those who may be interested in relatives who are buried here, for those who may wish to choose Brookwood Cemetery as their final resting place, or those who are just interested in the cemetery itself.

Dogs are not permitted in the cemetery.

Brookwood Cemetery is open daily from 7am to 7pm.

Woking Clay Pigeon Shoot

The Woking Clay Pigeon Shoot meets fortnightly. Its land adjoins the cemetery and is only accessible through the cemetery.

The Directors of Brookwood Cemetery Ltd consider it wholly inappropriate that shooting should take place adjoining its cemetery.
