Turkish Air Force Cemetery

The Turkish Air Force Cemetery is maintained by Brookwood Cemetery Ltd on behalf of the Turkish Embassy. It is located beside Pine Avenue and is behind the American Military Cemetery and adjacent to the M1 Muslim burial ground. The plot contains fourteen members of the Turkish Air Force who were killed during the Second World War.  The area also contains the mortal remains of Arif Bey (died 1836) whose remains were removed here from Woolwich in 1962.
